valuation price 160 000–180 000 CZK. F. Kyncl, a Czech painter and sculptor, is one of the most distinctive proponents of Czech constructivism of the second half of the 20th century. As yet his work has not been fully appreciated in the Czech Republic as Kyncl was forced in 1968 to emigrate to West Germany, where he lived until his death. There he studied at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf, and became an important figure in the so-called Düsseldorf circle. Kyncl’s work is based on the elementary shape of a monostructure, which it alternates in endless painterly or sculpted variations.
