Bořek Šípek, artist, architect, designer and university teacher, known for
especially as a creator of glass art objects and design
furniture or as the chief architect of the Prague Castle administration from the
President Václav Havel, where he worked on the restoration of the castle interiors. He became
He was the only artist who was involved in the architectural and artistic
interiors of the Castle after arch. J. Plečnik. Thanks to his wide international
work, he is a recognised figure among the world's leading designers.
Cooperation with the Italian furniture design firm Driade, which
appointed B. Šípek as one of its court designers, caused
the world fame of the author's work.
