Jiří John was a painter, but graphic art was a distinctive and convincing component of
of his work. He was distinguished by an extremely pure artistic view, based on
from his understanding of the evolution of nature and his ability to arrange elements into a harmonious
composition. The dry needle suited him because of its fragility and delicacy.
