In 1940 the Butterfly Chair was exhibited at the third Salon de Artistas Decoradores interior design in Buenos Aires. The design of the chair was awarded several design awards. In 1941, a trio of designers were awarded Acquisition Prize, awarded by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The chair was originally manufactured by Artek-Pascoe, production was taken over in 1945 by the Knoll Furniture Company. Lit.: Ch. Fiel, P. Fiel: 1000 Chairs, Taschen, Cologne 2005, s. 187.
