France, Nancy, 1900-1010, design probably company Louis Majorelle, wood, varnish, lacquered, carved with floral décor, deep armchair with wooden construction, originál upholstery with golden threads, dekor of chesnut leafes, height 99,5 cm, wooden part after restoration, upholstery in adequate condition Louis Majorell (1859-1926) qualified as painter – 1879 took workshop after his father in Nancy. Charakteristic for his furniture is useing of sophisticated veneer, marquetry and golden reliefs. Majorelle works with exotic wood and luxurious materials.
