"JUJU" mask
Cameroon, Babanku-Tungo, 2nd half of 20th century, wood, carved, heigt 43 cm, Most of the sculptures and masks for the reigning Fon in Bamileke Kingdom were crafted in Babanku-Tungo art center. Luis Perrois refers to this type of mask with royal head cover as "juju". Juju-type masks could have been worn only by members of royal family.
